Panellists announced for upcoming webinar – 'Pre-Empting Patient Demand in General Practice - Why Don't We and How Can We?'

The speakers who will be headlining the upcoming webinar 'Pre-Empting Patient Demand in General Practice - Why Don't We and How Can We?' have been announced.

The free event, which takes place on Thursday, September 26 from 1-2pm, promises to show invaluable insights into the challenges and solutions related to managing patient demand within general practice.

The event, which will be chaired by Darren Jones, who has held Non Executive Director roles within the NHS for the past 15 years, will include speakers working within the NHS and on healthcare improvement who will be sharing their expertise.

Nick Downham, an Independent Health and Social Care Improvement Specialist, brings a wealth of experience in healthcare quality improvement. Nick is the author of "Improving Quality in Healthcare: Questioning the Work for Effective Change", a book that offers a vital refocusing on the often marginalised and misunderstood core concepts of quality thinking in healthcare. His expertise will be crucial in addressing the dominant ideas that 'lock in' current structures of healthcare delivery and stifle efforts of so-called "transformation".

Liz Ward, Director of Liz Ward Consulting and Digital and Transformational lead in a large PCN, contributes extensive experience ranging from nursing and operational management to national programme roles. Liz has both led and contributed to the development of new approaches in national programmes and has been responsible for training, coaching and supporting frontline staff and leaders in new methods. Her passion for leading innovation and large-scale programmes benefits NHS and health systems both nationally and worldwide.

Sajid Khan, Senior Healthcare Consultant for Develop Consulting, brings over 16 years of healthcare knowledge to the panel. He has worked with multiple large acute trusts across England and has supported over 2,000 GP practices through change and improvement programmes at a national scale. Sajid's extensive experience in healthcare consulting allows him to bring a broad perspective on best practices and innovative solutions in managing patient demand.

This diverse panel of experts brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the discussion, offering participants a unique opportunity to gain insights from professionals across different facets of the healthcare industry.
